With a critical shortage of affordable and supportive housing in New York City and New York State, the Interfaith Affordable Housing Collaborative was established to augment the efforts of City and State governments and the network of not-for-profit and for-profit housing developers to address the housing crisis by helping faith communities to produce affordable and supportive housing on their properties. We seek to accomplish this by matching faith-based properties with technical assistance and faith and community-based funds as part of a broader effort of faith and community-based organizations working to stabilize and strengthen our neighborhoods. Since its inception in 2018, the Collaborative has been enjoying significant support from many of the major groups in NYC committed to producing and preserving affordable and supportive housing.
